Please follow this form when applying. Feel free to spruce it up in any way you like, just make sure that all the information is still present.

Unfinished auditions are allowed, but after four days, unless you alert an administrator that you will not be able to complete it until a later date, it will be moved to the trash can.

name: What we should call you.
age: Optional, but you should be over the age of thirteen.
where did you find us: If referred by a specific person, please put their name here.
writing experience: Years/places/etc.
favourite genres: For writing, role-playing or both, whatever your forte.
what else: Secret code goes here.
sample type: What kind of piece you will be using for your writing sample (i.e. short story, excerpt from a book, role play introduction, etc.). Please try to be specific than "fantasy roleplay sample". We need to know if it a reply in a roleplay, an introduction, a post from a site where character profiles are set up separately, etc.. If you don’t give us the right information, we can’t process your audition correctly. Please do not just state the genre of the piece because we honestly care very little about what genre it is.

writing sample:
Please give us an example of your writing, something that really speaks for you as a writer and not just some one-time shot to get yourself into the highest group. The example may be of any tense or person. All we ask is no poetry and only one sample.

We have been seeing a lot of people adding comments about their samples lately. Things like "oh, I know it isn't that great" or "it's very sloppy/rushed/whatever." Just as a reminder, your writing sample is the ONLY piece that we look at when sorting your application. If it isn't your best, fix it!

Radio War is a forum dedicated to helping you improve -- so challenge yourself! Fix your audition sample, and then for everything you post after that, fix all the mistakes you can find in that, too. Eventually, you'll stop making them.

Again, this is just a reminder that we will not take into account that "this isn't how I usually write; I usually spend more time on it, but this is very rushed." We will treat the sample like it is a regular piece from you. For all we know, it is.
